ABOUT THE CLASSES
Mondays 12-1:15pm ET
Thursdays 6-7:15pm ET
This is a fabulous fusion of Pilates, Stretch, Cardio, and HIIT. All you’ll need is some space and a yoga mat...no equipment needed! We will work the entire body with fun strengthening and stretching exercises while sculpting lean muscles and burning calories and fat! I’m a HUGE believer in keeping things exciting and fresh so each class will be different to keep your body and mind guessing. This is a wonderful cross-training class for dancers AND non-dancers. It’ll be perfect for anyone looking to gain more strength and flexibility, or for anyone looking to lose weight and feel great! This class will be an intermediate level...although ALL fitness levels are welcome and modifications will be cued!
Advanced Beginner Ballet
Thursdays 7:30-9pm ET
This is for anyone who has the basic fundamentals of ballet already established, including the understanding of proper body leg and foot alignment, knowledge of ballet vocabulary including the proper names of steps and body positions, and experience in connecting steps together in one seamless phrase! We'll spend about 45 minutes doing a full barre and 45 minutes in the center including adagio, pirouette combos, petit allegro, and grand allegro. All combos will be small space friendly so don't worry if you don't have lots of room. If you don't have a barre, a chair or counter top works perfectly!
Pointe Barre (invite only)
Sundays 1:45-2:45pm ET
Just because we're at home doesn't mean we can't keep up with our pointe technique! This class is an invite only class for safety reasons. Desiree is only allowing students who have had pointe experience prior to studios shutting down due to COVID. If this applies to you and you are interested in joining this class, please email Desiree directly to inquire. If you aren't an established student of Desiree's already, she will require you to take one of her online Ballet classes (in flat shoes) first so she can assess your technique. Please know that this is strictly for safety purposes! Pointe work is specifically for the experienced dancer who has consistent technique and strong legs/feet/ankles/core! It is recommended that you have a ballet barre and Marley flooring for this class.
HOW TO PREPARE
Please book your classes ahead of time. A late inquiry may not be seen and therefore you may not get the Zoom link to attend class.
Clear a space where you can move your limbs freely.
Please try to set up your device in a place where I can see your FULL body...the better I can see you, the easier it is for me to help you and make corrections!
