"Waltz of the Flowers" Workshop

Desiree will set her own unique version of Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker (with Balanchine inspired bits and pieces). There will be 2 casts, each containing 12 Flowers (corps de ballet), 1 Dewdrop (lead soloist), and 2 Blossoms (demi-soloists). Desiree will be setting these roles in advance, so the more you can attend her open classes and get in front of her so she can see what you're capable of, the better!

This workshop will run for 5 consecutive Friday evenings (11/29 excluded) 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, and 12/13 at Gibney (Lower Manhattan location) from 6:30-8:30pm. Each session will begin with "company class" for proper warming up and technique/artistry building.

There will be a Performance Recording of each cast on the last day of the session 12/13. You will all have access to these videos and can share them with friends and family...a great little holiday gift!

Desiree can ONLY take 30 dancers

Since this is a group piece, you MUST be able to attend AT LEAST 3 SESSIONS.
If you cannot attend all 5 sessions, please inform Desiree!
This is important for casting reasons - if you cannot attend a specific session, Desiree wants to be sure your "alternate" (the dancer in the other cast in your exact spot) will be there that day.

There will be a FLAT RATE for this workshop.
Whether you attend 3, 4, or all 5 sessions, the rate will be the same!
ALL payments must be made in advance to secure your spot and to help cover the studio rental fees as well as our pianist. Sorry, NO REFUNDS!
