Adult Ballet Workshops
Welcome to the beginning stages of Desiree's very own Performance Group "Company!" Oh the possibilities.....
These workshops are for Desiree's Monday/Wednesday (advanced beginner / intermediate) level Joffrey students. Each workshop will run for 4 or more consecutive Friday evenings depending on what's being taught. There are plans to learn known ballet variations in addition to original group pieces from classical ballet to contemporary. For now, these workshops will consist of "company class" followed by choreography...and for now, performance opportunities for select dancers!

What's Happening Next?!
"Waltz of the Flowers" Workshop
Nutcracker season is upon us, so a Nutcracker related workshop is in order! Desiree will set her own unique version of Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker (with Balanchine inspired bits and pieces). There will most likely be 2 casts, each containing a Dewdrop Soloist and 2 Demi-Soloist Blossoms. Desiree will be setting these roles in advance, so the more you can attend her open classes and get in front of her so she can see what you're capable of, the better!
This workshop will run for 5 consecutive Friday evenings (11/29 excluded) 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, and 12/13 at Gibney (Lower Manhattan location). Each session will begin with "company class" for proper warming up and technique/artistry building.
SPOTS ARE LIMITED & THEY GO VERY QUICKLY!
Since this is a group piece, you MUST be able to attend AT LEAST 3 SESSIONS.
If you cannot attend all 5 sessions, please inform Desiree which dates you can attend and she'll give you a price adjustment. You cannot pay as you go - all payments need to be made in advance to cover the studio rental fees, our "company class" pianist, and possible photographer/videographer during our last session. Sorry, NO REFUNDS!
